Diversity is a source of strength, but without the proper supports and structures in place, diversity can instead be perceived as a challenge.

At Nourishing Neurodiversity, we provide guidance on an individual or organizational level on how to best navigate diverse styles of thinking and communication in order to increase effectiveness and engagement. Whether you are seeking individual coaching to enhance your personal and professional relationships, or wanting to better equip your business to utilize the strengths of a variety of team members, we can help.

Consulting Services

As our workforce becomes increasingly diverse, many businesses and organizations are finding themselves without the resources and infrastructure to support employees with different styles of learning and communication. Through consulting services tailored to the specific nature and needs of each client, we help businesses and organizations become neurodiverse-friendly environments that can better support–and in turn, better utilize–all of their employees.
While pragmatics may be intuitive to some, others can benefit greatly from explicit guidance on workplace social expectations, including the norms and subtle rules of interaction that make teams more effective and workplaces more dynamic. Let us help you move your business from the past into the present, all with an eye on the future.

Individual Coaching

Our individual coaching sessions begin by assessing your personal strengths and challenge areas then setting goals based on what is important to you. Whether you are wanting to enhance your workplace relationships or are hoping to meet someone special for dating or romantic partnership, we can help you to identify and take the steps to develop the corresponding skill sets.

Social Success Class Series

Our eight-session class series provides a small group setting in which participants can share the journey of learning how to effectively navigate a variety of social environments. Each class is an hour and a half long, typically consisting of one hour of instruction and discussion, followed by a half hour of minimally structured but facilitated socializing. Topics covered include: workplace social skills, dating, relationship building, effective communication strategies, and social safety awareness.

Creative Play Groups

Social skill development starts early in childhood, through a process of observation combined with trial and error, as we learn to read social cues and navigate a variety of social environments. Some children, however, need more explicit instruction around social and communication expectations, as well as facilitated practice utilizing newly developed social skills. Our creative play groups offer a supportive, low pressure environment for children of varying ability levels to create, explore, and interact. And best of all, they’re fun! Each class features an art project, game, or other activity that gives children a chance to express themselves creatively and playfully, while also getting explicit guidance as needed to effectively engage in a small group setting.

Person Centered Planning

Our person centered planning process begins with a discovery session during which an individual seeking to create a plan for growth and programming can come together with their circle of support to share hopes, dreams, fears, and collectively brainstorm to create a clear path to a full future.

This discovery session, which may be supplemented by other interviews, results in a person centered plan that can be used to guide programming or for training purposes.  For individuals entering Self-Determination, Regional Center reimbursement is available for their initial person centered plan.
